Preparation and site selection

Do not immediately grab the hammer and nails, first determine the location paintings in the apartment.

• Select the wall on which the composition will hang.
• Try to put the components next to each other on the floor to make it easier to determine the location.
• Further placement depends on the type of image. If it is a symmetrical composition, then the center should fall on the segment located in the middle. In the case of asymmetric - on the largest or most basic semantic element.
• Now determine the level - the height at which the picture will hang.

• Hooks with a sticky base. When choosing this option, it is important to choose the devices in size and weight correctly so that they withstand the modules. This is also a simple and effective way, but you will have to look for such hardware in stores.

• Special systems for fixing pictures (see a photo). One part of the device is mounted on the wall, the second on the back of the canvas frame. Of the advantages - the absence of sticky marks on the surfaces after removal of the device. This type of fastener is suitable for bases glued with wallpaper.

• The classic option is dowels or nails. The choice of hardware depends on the material of the walls. Dowels are suitable for concrete substrates, nails for wooden surfaces, OSB boards. You can hang a picture on a drywall wall by screwing screws into it. Very heavy items are hung on special dowels for gypsum plasterboard - “butterflies”.

Operating procedure

Regardless of the mounting method chosen, actions are performed according to a strict algorithm. Only in this case will it be possible to hang the picture evenly and correctly, so that it pleases the eye.

1. First hang the central segment of the image (located in the middle or having the largest size). It is applied to the wall, determining the optimal level and placement. When it is decided where the central element should be, it is circled. This will be a kind of markup.
2. Now the picture is pre-installed and evaluated as it is appropriate. Also put the canvas horizontally and vertically. Evenness is determined by level.
3. Now they are moving to fasteners in one of the above ways: using a special system, hooks, dowels or double-sided adhesive tape.
4. Then from the central element go to the side fragments. If an offset is provided, it must be taken into account when fastening and, accordingly, the components should be shifted relative to each other or to the center.
